I hope everyone has a good summer and will have fun. I am transferring the owenership of this blog to vikki. Thank you for all the great times and I will miss coming into the Japanese room at 7:15 every morning to help clean up. I wish everyone the best of luck and that they have a great time with Noriko-sensei and her future Student Teachers. Treat them well! I will be back for Japan Night. I better not hear about any mishaps or disrespect to Noriko-sensei or her Student Teachers. I will be very disappointed if that happens. Sayonara!

The year so far: December
December also was very uneventful if I remember correctly. If I'm wrong I'll update this.
The year so far: November
November was a quiet month for JNHS overall. The only event that went on was the Thanksgiving Dinner. I can't remember anything else about November so thats all I'll write about it.

The year so far: October
October was a very busy month for our JNHS. We had to make a homecoming float and decorate a room for Halloween! We spent many days after school making our float this year, which was Godzilla. Just as the parade was about to start it started raining. 45 minutes later and everyone is soaked and our float is falling apart, thank god it was over. as soon as we finish cleaning up the float, the sun comes out! I guess thats Oregon weather for you. >.< . We won an award for the float, I forget what it was for exactly.
Following the homecoming parade we had to make decorations for a Halloween room. For those who don't know exactly what that is I'll explain it. Every year Tigard High opens up some classrooms for children to come trick or treat in on Halloween. It is a big hit when it rains. We had two weeks to prepare for Halloween rooms after Homecoming. Our theme was Pokemon graveyard. I didn't get much of a say in the theme. >.< . It ended up being lots of fun handing out candy to little kids. Unfortunately for me I ended up in the Pokemon costume. We have pictures of the Halloween room and I will post the link on the sidebar.
That was October and man was it busy.

My poetry
All right that last post was a little depressing for me, so I'm gonna post my poetry here, I want you guys to post comments with your guesses about what they mean.
My Moons,
How bright they shine,
How dark my sky,
Without their guiding glows.
Why is it I cannot find my way,
Without my shining moons,
Brightening life’s way?
I miss their moonbeams,
Their astral grace that lightens my face.
I will find my moons,
And never again let them cry,
When the morning sun has to rise.

The school year so far: September
All right. I'm going to recap the school year starting from September.
In September THS students hosted Japanese High School students for a weekend. The students from the Saitama Prefecture, about an hour away from Tokyo, 44 female students were hosted in pairs with THS students, many of whom take Japanese. I also hosted two Japanese students. I keep in touch with them almost every day via email,Macs FTW, and I consider them to be part of my family now. All of them were able to go to that weeks football game with the host families for free and were allowed to go to the dance f0llowing it. The next night many of the host families met up at Laserport in Beaverton with the Japanese exchange students for a few games of laser tag. It was lots of fun. Sadly the following Monday, they had to leave us and there was many tears in the eyes of all of us. I personally renewed my promise to go to Japan this following summer to include visiting my sisters. I will go to Japan this coming summer.
That was September of the 2007-08 school year.

Hello! This is Tigard High's Japanese National Honor Society's new website. I am the 2007-08 Tech Officer. Due to the fact that it is a pain for me to update the old website on my computer easily, I have decided to make a new one. I hope that this will be much better for future years and I will enable future tech officers and Noriko-sensei to update this in the future. I'm sorry for the lack of updates on the old website and I will try to make up for that soon.
